As a seasoned news Journalist on the beat, I thrive in dynamic environments where I wear many hats. My extensive skill set includes shooting videos with precision and creativity, writing compelling scripts to accompany the visuals, editing footage to produce seamless and engaging stories, and field-producing segments by coordinating logistics and managing on-the-ground operations—all under tight daily deadlines. This versatility and efficiency make me an invaluable asset to any newsroom.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of covering some of the most significant events and stories. I was on the ground for the mid-term elections in California covering Gavin Newsom’s campaign, capturing pivotal moments, and delivering comprehensive coverage. I documented Governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential race in Florida, bringing viewers closer to the campaign’s pulse. Currently, I am gearing up to cover the upcoming Democratic National Convention, an event that promises to be both challenging and exhilarating.

My background in sports journalism is equally robust. I’ve covered Major League Baseball teams such as the Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics, Chicago Cubs, and White Sox. In the NFL, I’ve reported on the San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Chicago Bears. My NHL coverage includes the Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, and Tampa Bay Lightning. Additionally, I’ve documented NCAA teams like Cal Poly, USF Bulls, Northwestern Wildcats, and DePaul Blue Demons, among others.

My coverage of the Northern California wildfires and floods of 2022 and Hurricane Idalia in Florida was showcased on national news platforms, underscoring the resilience of affected communities and the urgent need for aid.

As a video editor, I have spent years honing my skills in crafting compelling visual stories. But my background in photojournalism has given me an added dimension to my work. Understanding the importance of narrative and plot is something that I have brought with me into my video editing work. I believe that every video, whether it is a short promotional clip or a feature-length documentary, has a story to tell. And it’s my job as an editor to help bring that story to life.

I am highly skilled in Edius, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Audition, which are industry-standard tools for video editing and sound design. From color grading to sound mixing, I can handle all aspects of the post-production process with ease. But my real talent lies in my ability to craft a narrative arc that engages viewers and keeps them invested in the story from beginning to end.
